How many Domains/Websites can be monitored? How do I understand this in the tiers?

Robotalp offers 12 different monitoring tools with a variety of features. If you simply want to monitor the uptime of your 100 websites, you will need 100 monitors. However, if you also want to perform SSL monitoring alongside uptime checks for these websites, you will need an additional 100 monitors, totaling 200 monitors.

Can I add a monitor to any site for specific keywords? When adding a keyword monitor, is there a limit to the results returned?

You can add a Keyword Monitor to any site to check for specific keywords in the visual text or HTML source code. There is no strict limit on the number of results returned, but keep in mind that the system is optimized for performance, so excessive keyword checks on very large pages may impact response times.

Are there plans for the release of an iOS app? Although stats on mobile would be useful, the main use case would be push notifications for urgent alerts.

We previously had Android and iOS apps, but they were removed during the transition to Robotalp V3. A new and improved version of our mobile apps is planned for release this year, which will include push notifications for urgent alerts.

How does RobotAlp compare to Modular DS, which is also on AppSumo?

Modular DS is indeed a great product that I also follow closely. However, Robotalp and Modular DS cater to different needs and are not direct competitors. It’s possible there may have been some mix-up or comparison with another product.

Can we be lazy and import our domains from a CSV file?

No need to worry—there’s an easier way! With the Website Wizard, you can create thousands of monitors in just a few clicks.

Does it only check the main page or also subpages? If only the registered URL is checked, do I have to create all the desired subpages as separate monitors?

Change monitoring only checks the specific URL you’ve registered—it does not automatically monitor subpages. If you’d like to monitor additional subpages, you’ll need to create a separate monitor for each URL you want to monitor.

Can I invite team members to my Robotalp account and set up domain expiry and website uptime alerts to be sent exclusively to their email address?

In Robotalp, you can configure notification settings individually for each monitor.

Is there any way to monitor for JavaScript errors?

No, Robotalp isn’t designed for monitoring JavaScript errors. However, I highly recommend using Sentry. It’s a great tool for tracking and debugging JavaScript errors.

Does robot.alp work with all websites, for example Squarespace, Duda, Webflow, Simvoly?

Yes, it works with all websites that can be accessed through a browser.

How many pages can be monitored for visual changes?

Change Monitoring works like this: 1 monitor = 1 page. Each monitor tracks changes on a single page.

What does the DNS monitoring let you do, change DNS?

Robotalp continuously monitors the nameservers and their associated IP addresses for your domain. If any changes occur—such as a nameserver modification or an unexpected IP update—without your knowledge, this could indicate a security breach.

Are sites monitored externally? Meaning no code or plugins added to the site it’s monitoring?

Yes, Robot.alp is an external monitoring tool. It monitors your website from the outside like a real user.

How does the price change if notifications are added via SMS or email?

Email notifications are now unlimited and free across all plans. SMS notifications are also unlimited and free, provided you integrate your own Twilio account.
