Can we change the platform from English to Portuguese?
Hi – the interface is in English. Should we introduce more languages, Portuguese will surely be in the top. In full transparency, we plan more languages for the platform only from the next year. You can however scan and process all your receipts in Portuguese, the system will work just fine 🙂
Will webhooks (API) be available in the future?
Hi Milena, yes – it’s coming in Q2. In the next week you can expect updates in the mobile app (mainly improved speed and functionality). The web app will offer pdf reports with pictures of the receipts. So users can choose between csv for further data work / import and polished pdf reports.
Is the platform in Italian too? Also, is it possible to extract a list of all receipts scanned in pdf?
While we haven’t fully localized the platform into Italian, you can absolutely use our tool for Italian receipts and expenses with no problem. We’ll read, extract, and process your data just as we do in English. Right now, you can generate detailed CSV exports of your receipts. We’re working on adding more export formats, including PDF, to make it easier to download and share your scanned receipts.
Do accountant users consume team seats?
Hi there! We do offer a special program for accountants so they won’t use up your regular team seats. They can simply log in to review or correct entries without impacting your seat count.
Are we able to automatically forward emails based on filters which contain receipts to be included in ExpenseMonkey?
Yes! You can set up automated email forwarding in your email account settings. For Gmail, you can create a filter to automatically forward emails to your dedicated ExpenseMonkey email.
Can you explain all of the roles and access levels, and what does or does not use up a seat?
Hi, for now, all users in the organization can see all projects (but not the expenses). We’re working on changing this soon—by the end of this month or early March—so that an account owner will be able to assign team members to specific projects and designate an approver. Accountants can view all expenses across all projects in the workspace without using a seat (if they manage multiple organizations).
Could you clarify the scope of ExpenseMonkey’s expense management capabilities?
ExpenseMonkey is built to handle all kinds of business expenses—whether they’re physical receipts or digital documents like online purchase invoices, VAT-inclusive invoices, or supplier invoices. Our tool will automatically extract the key details (including the overall tax amount) from these documents for you.
Can I track income with ExpenseMonkey?
ExpenseMonkey is designed primarily as a pre-accounting tool focused on expense tracking and receipt management. That means we don’t support income tracking directly within the app. However, you can export your expense data as a CSV file and integrate it with your accounting software, where you can manage income and expenses together.
Are you considering developing new native integrations with CRM and project management software?
We don’t have native integrations with Moxie, Flowlu, or ClientJoy CRM at the moment. However, we agree that connecting with project management and CRM tools is a great idea and it’s on our feature request list for future updates.
Are you considering integrations with business bank accounts, such as Mettle, or accounting apps, such as Freeagent?
Right now, ExpenseMonkey is focusing on making expense tracking and receipt management super simple. We offer CSV exports for syncing with your accounting apps like Freeagent. Integrations with business bank accounts and other accounting tools are on our roadmap.
How does ExpenseMonkey handle OCR for receipts?
ExpenseMonkey uses smart OCR and AI to automatically extract key details—including tax values—from your receipts. While native integrations with accounting SaaS like Xero, along with API/webhook support, are on our roadmap, you can currently export your data as CSV.
Is there a way to attach or email receipts so that they get recorded and submitted?
Yes, you can easily attach or email your receipts! Just head to Settings > Integrations > Email to Expense and activate it. Once you do, you’ll get a dedicated email address where you can send your receipts, and they’ll be automatically recorded for you.
How many organizations are included in each tier?
In the current deal, each tier includes one organization (or workspace) per account, which you own and manage. However, you can be a member of multiple organizations if you’re invited to join other teams.
