FAQ

Can I use my own voice plus 1 AI voice to simulate a meeting or conversation?

We don’t support this feature for now but we’re working on voice cloning feature at high priority.

Will the voices we have cloned within the 3 months / 1 year still be available for us to use after the bonus period is over?

The cloned voices will stay saved but generating audio from them would be unavailable after the bonus is over. If the Pro is re-activated (e.g via an add-on purchase), those cloned voices will be available again and now possible to generate with them.

Can I upload and use my own voice for text-to-speech or voiceover functionalities?

This feature is not currently available, but we are working on it at high priority.

Can the API provide the same functionalities as the Studio?

Yes, the API supports all the features available in the app. We will improve the API documentation going forward.

Is there a feature to add background music to podcasts, and does the volume self-adjust to speech?

Yes, it’s possible to add background music. You can adjust the music volume by clicking on the music block and adjusting the volume slider on the left panel.

Do you support importing Google Docs into Lazybird with line breaks?

Even though importing directly from Google Docs isn’t supported yet, you can download your document as a docx file and import it into Lazybird. We support docx! (Import Script button on the left side)

What should I do if translating takes too long?

Hey, it should be almost instantaneous. Which language are you using as the destination? If it’s taking that long, please reach out to us in the live chat in the bottom left corner, and we’ll diagnose the issue together.

Can I clone my own voice for the Lifetime Deal?

This is not finalized yet, depending on the resources required and the computation cost of the feature when it’s all ironed out. It will be available as a reward for AppSumo users for at least a period (1 month, 3 months, or a year).

Can you upload a script with multiple speakers and have Lazybird create a single audio file with different voices?

This is possible. You can update the other speakers for each block after adding them as a single voice. We recently added a CSV import feature for this as well.

How can we add more voices for European Portuguese as the current ones are too robotic?

We’re adding some multilingual voices in 1-2 weeks, which will be able to speak Portuguese. As for specifically European Portuguese, we’ll note the feedback and consider adding more voices.

Will voice cloning be included in Tier 2, or will it have an extra cost?

Probably not included, but we will make it available as a limited time period bonus for AppSumo users or as a fairly-priced add-on package.

Do we lose credits for editing text to change voice inflections?

Yes, editing the text counts as credit loss too (it counts the entire block because the whole block must be resynthesized). Thus it’s advisable to split into smaller blocks of text for easier editing without wasting quota.

Are epic soundtracks in your stock music, images, and videos copyright-free?

Yes, they are royalty-free soundtracks from our partner provider.
